God’s Word is a Lamp

Psalm 119:105 Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.

Proverbs 6:23 For the commandment is a lamp and the teaching a light; and the reproofs for discipline are the way of life.

2 Peter 1:19 And we have something more sure, the prophetic word, to which you do well to pay attention as to a lamp shining in a dark place.

The world is a dark place. We are guaranteed to stumble and fall without the light of God’s Word. The world is always trying to squeeze us into its mould. God’s Word can renew our mind (Romans 12:2).
